Salmonella and E.coli have been in the news, but they are just two of the variety of potentially deadly bacteria that live on and around food preparation areas. These areas are particular trouble spots for contamination. Food pathogens can be spread from one item to another via surfaces, cutlery or inappropriate contact between food items. Food-borne pathogens may be found within or on the surface of certain food items. Symptoms from contaminations can range from nausea, abdominal cramps, vomiting and diarrhea to serious illness and even death in extreme circumstances.

CSE swab testing for harmful food pathogens will determine the effectiveness of current sanitary procedures and help prevent food-borne illnesses and death.
